About Us

Hi!  We are Ken and Yvonne and we're excited to welcome you to our place.  This is our only vacation rental - we bought this because we love the area and want to have a place to come and enjoy the sea, nature and adventures (we live a quick flight away in Austin, TX).   We spent 2+ months in the summer of 2022 getting the place set up, and we've tried to provide all the resources and little touches that make it a comfortable place to relax and play (and to work as/when needed).  Some of our favorite things about Akumal - swimming and snorkeling in the sea (there's a lovely beach a few minutes walk), volunteering with the turtles during nesting season (the beach nearby is a very active nesting beach - we get to help the mamas and the babies), experiencing Mexican and Mayan culture, taking advantage of the great cluster of restaurants at Akumal beach and in the pueblo, doing yoga and meditation, and adventuring in the jungle.   We hope you decide to come to this special corner of the world and let us host you!
